Welcome to TypingMaster Pro. This powerful typing tutor will help you improve your typing substantially whether you are a novice or a seasoned professional. TypingMaster has many courses that will satisfy your changing needs as your skills and speed improve.

TypingMaster Pro also offers a revision course for people who have had experience with touch-typing, but want to freshen up on their typing skills. Courses to practice the special keys of the keyboard and the numeric keypad along with a course aimed for professional typists are also included.

With the Interactive Review Wizard in TypingMaster Pro and the TypingMaster ProTrainer tool, you will be able to fine-tune your typing skills. These tools monitor your typing and create customized training to suit your individual needs. Because of this, they will help improve your typing long after you have finished with the courses.

This manual will help you get TypingMaster installed and running on your system. All of the features in TypingMaster Pro and ProTrainer are also explained. Please read this manual carefully before installing TypingMaster Pro to your system. This will ensure a trouble free installation and an easy startup. You will also know how to take advantage of all the features TypingMaster Pro has to offer.

 The setup program will first ask you a few questions on the components you wish to install and where you wish to install TypingMaster Pro. After this, the program will copy all necessary files to your installation folder and create shortcuts to the Start -menu. In this section we will go through the different choices you will have that affect the installation of TypingMaster Pro.

If you are installing the program into a network, please refer to the Network Installation Manual for detailed installation information.

Please exit all programs before starting the setup program. Other programs running in the background may have an adverse effect on the installation. Please print this section of the manual if you wish to see the instructions when installing. If you do not want to print this section, read through the instructions before installing. This will give you an idea of the choices you will make during installation. The instructions are organized into a list where a section represents a screen from the setup program.

1. The setup program will start by asking you to close all running programs. If you do not have any other programs running select "Next" to continue. Otherwise, select "Cancel" and close all other programs and restart the setup program.
2. You will be presented with the License Agreement. Please read through this agreement carefully before accepting its terms. (It's always a good idea to know what you are getting into :-) By selecting "Yes" you indicate that you have read the agreement and accepted its terms and the installation will continue. If you select "No" the setup program will abort. 
3. Now you can specify the folder where TypingMaster will be installed. The default folder is C:\Program Files\TypingMaster\ If you are satisfied with this folder select "Next". If you are unsure of where to install TypingMaster select "Next" since the default folder works best with most computer setups.
4. Now you will be asked which type of setup you wish to install on your computer. The choices you make here affect what components will be installed to your computer. The following table will describe each of the setup options and the components that will be installed with each option. Please select the option that is the most appropriate for you and click on "Next".

   Standard	The Standard Installation includes all the files needed to use both the TypingMaster Pro typing tutor and the ProTrainer utility. This is the recommended setup for single computer installations.
   Network	The Network Installation, in addition to all the components of the Standard Installation, also includes the TypingMaster Manager tool for centralized user and workstation management. The Network Installation and User Manual is also included in this installation. This manual describes the installation of TypingMaster Pro to a network and the also covers the use of TypingMaster Manager. The Network Installation is recommended for all schools and companies who are installing TypingMaster Pro to their networks. When Network Installation is selected you will be able to select the components to be installed (e.g. If ProTrainer hasn't been purchased you can leave this out to save disk space).    Tutor only	The Tutor only Installation will install only the TypingMaster Pro typing tutor without the ProTrainer utility. Select this option if you do not wish to have the ProTrainer utility.



5. After selecting the type of setup, you can choose the location where TypingMaster Pro program icons will be placed in the Start -menu. The default folder is TypingMaster. If you are satisfied with this, select "Next" and the setup program will create a TypingMaster folder under Programs in the Start -menu.
   
   If you wish to have the program icons in another folder, you can select an existing folder from the list or type in a name of your own in the "Program Folders" field. When you have made your selection, select "Next".
6. Now, you will be presented with the choices you have made. If you are satisfied with these choices select "Next".
   
   If you wish to change some of your choices, you can return to your previous selections by selecting "Back" until you reach the desired screen.
7. The setup program will now copy the program files to the installation folder you have selected and shortcuts to the Start -menu will be created.
8. Finally you will be able to select if you wish to start the program immediately after installation and/or read the README file.
   
   It is strongly recommended that you have a look at the README file. Changes and improvements are constantly being made to TypingMaster Pro. The README file will contain the latest information on your version of TypingMaster Pro.
   
   When you have made your selections, click on "Finish" to end the setup program.
